Frigidaire and Kenmore Wall Ovens Recalled by Electrolux Due to Fire Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Frigidaire and Kenmore-branded electric single and double wall ovens made by Electrolux. They were sold in black, white or stainless steel. The single ovens measure about 24 inches wide, 32 inches tall and 25 inches deep. The double ovens measure about 24 inches wide, 51 inches tall and 25 inches deep.  “Kenmore” or “Frigidaire” is printed below the oven window. The model and serial numbers are located on the left side trim on the inside of the oven. The following model and serial numbers are included in this recall:

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ovens and contact Electrolux or Sears to schedule a free inspection and free repair. The firm is contacting all known purchasers directly.
  • Sold At
    Frigidaire ovens were sold by Knie Appliance & TV, Inc., in Illinois from March 2016 through April 2016 for between $1,000 and $1,400. Kenmore ovens were sold exclusively at Sears stores nationwide and online at www.sears.com from March 2016 through April 2016 for between $1,400 and $2,100.
